Researcher fascinated by microbial physiology, characterizing bacterial transport and pathogenicity mechanisms by structural, biochemical and microbiological approaches, with focus on the Tripartite Tricarboxylate Transport family (TTT). Currently works as associated professor at Biochemistry institute in Campinas State University (UNICAMP). Worked as postdoctoral researcher in the Chemistry institute ? University of São Paulo, characterizing bacterial secretion systems by CryoEM, and for 3,5 years as Postdoctoral researcher in the Institut Européen de Chimie et Biologie (Pessac-FR), specializing in the SPA-CryoEM analysis of the transformassome apparatus in gram positive bacteria. Obtained a PhD from The University of Sheffield (UK), working on the TTT family in the photosynthetic bacteria Rhodopseudomonas palustris. Graduated in Biotechnology in 2013, in the Federal university of Sao Carlos, with a sandwich period in The University of Sheffield(UK) as part of the program Science Without Borders. Ongoing member of the Higher Education Academy since 2016.
