Bsc in Biology from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Ms in Molecular Biology from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro and PhD in Biochemistry from Universidade de São Paulo. Research experience focused on Molecular Microbiology, specially on the following subjects: bacterial secretion systems, regulation of gene expression in bacteria, bacterial toxins, microbial interactions.
