Personal presentation

NBachelors degree in Nursing from the University of Campinas (Unicamp, 1985), Masters degree in Biochemistry from Unicamp (1988), and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from the University of São Paulo (1993). Full Professor of Biochemistry at Unicamp, since 2010). Senior collaborating Professor (2019present). Has experience in Biophysics, Biochemistry, and Pharmaceutical Sciences, with a focus on the development of drug delivery systems (such as liposomes, nanostructured lipid carriers, and cyclodextrins). Her research emphasizes the study of the molecular interactions between active compounds (anticancer drugs, local anesthetics,...) and the drug delivery systems, their characterization, and biological evaluation.

Research activities

Biochemical pharmacology and pharmaceutical technology: 1) Development and characterization of drug-delivery systems in carriers such as cyclodextrins, liposomes, Nanostructured lipid carriers; 2) Biochemistry and Biophysics applied to the study of amphiphile interaction with biomimetic systems.
