Graduate at Biological Science from Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Campinas (1982), master's at Immunology from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1986) and PhD at Microbiology from Universidade Federal de São Paulo (1994). Postdoctoral studies at the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain (2004) and postdoctoral studies in Mycology at the University of Michigan, USA (2016). Acting in the following subjects: 1) Escherichia coli: virulence factors, biofilm and antimicrobial resistance; 2) Amphibian chytridomycosis: Isolation and molecular diagnosis of Batrachochytrium dendrobatidis; 3) Macrofungi of the ARIE Forest of Saint Genebra, diversity and molecular phylogeny.
