graduation at Ciências Biológicas from Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (2000), master's at Physiology from Universidade Federal do Espírito Santo (2003) and doctorate at Physiology from Universidade de São Paulo (2008). Has experience in Physiology, focusing on Cardiovascular Physiology, acting on the following subjects: aorta, isoproterenol, endothelium, diabetes and vascular reactivity.

Research activities

Our primary research focus is to understand functional and molecular mechanism underlying vascular complications on cardiovascular and metabolic diseases such as obesity, undernutrition and dyslipidemias. The laboratory uses in vivo and in vitro experimental approaches including blood pressure measurement, the study of vascular function and structure, and biochemical and molecular biology methods.
